Casa Ellora takes its name from the Ellora Caves, a symbol of spiritual integration and harmony with the surroundings. This residence has been conceived as a serene retreat, where the warmth of wood, the solidity of concrete, and the nobility of stone blend naturally with the Tapalpa forest.
Each space is designed to encourage togetherness, rest, and a deep connection with nature, allowing light, views, and materials to become the true protagonists of the living experience.

Casa Ellora is part of the Dos Cuevas project, designed by Mexican architect Andrés Escobar, who proposes an architecture that is sensitive to its context, respectful of the landscape, and focused on creating spaces meant to be experienced with calm and meaning.

Andrés Escobar is a Mexican architect with over 20 years of experience, founder and director of his own studio, with a professional trajectory that includes residential, multifamily, commercial, and urban planning projects at both regional and national levels.
His work in Tapalpa stands out for an architecture deeply rooted in its context—honoring local identity, integrating natural materials, and fostering a profound relationship between built space and the surrounding landscape. In Dos Cuevas, Andrés Escobar proposes an architecture that does not impose itself, but rather accompanies the forest, creating homes designed to be lived in unhurriedly and with purpose.
